Show us your mouthpiece!
We clarinetists can often get a little obsessive about our mouthpieces, and it’s no wonder: it’s the piece of equipment that has the greatest impact on our sound, range and articulation, and we often spending years looking for the mouthpiece is that is just right.
This week we are showing off our mouthpieces - post a photo of yours or tell us a little bit about what you play on! Maybe we can inspire each other to try a new brand or facing!

I got a basic M13 Lyre which I picked up when I dusted off my clarinet after years of not playing. I had been plying my original mouthpiece that came with my clarinet, which was nearly 30 years old!
I couldn’t believe how big of a difference in the quality of tone this upgrade made. I felt like I got a new clarinet.
Now I’m trying to not spend my money on mouthpieces 😅 I do want to get a Backun Custom when I get the chance to test play one.
For now I enjoy this little upgrade

The Backun barrow is pretty nice too. I swap back and forth with my other one depending on my basic intonation for the day

My Licostini G5L - superior to anything I got before. Difficult to get unfortunately but worth it-rarely throw a reed away since I got this

No Pics, but I use a Vandoren M30 but I'm always ready to discover something new.

Here is my Vocalise mouthpiece made by Backun. It pairs really well with Vandoren 56 rue lepic reeds - for me anyway.
I did a little photo shoot earlier :-) I usually use the Silverstein ligature, but it looked better in the pictures with a metal one by Buffet.
