The Low Register Speed Challenge: Information and SIGN UP!

Our challenge this September has a simple objective: improve your speed in the lowest register of the clarinet!

For the first three weeks, I’ll present you with a few exercises and your job will be to get your metronome on and see how much you can improve the speed of the exercise over the course of the week. In the fourth week we’ll go back and try to get all of the exercises covered so far to the next level.

This is a great challenge if you’re both a beginner or a more advanced clarinetist, since we can always work on faster fingers and none of the exercises are going over the break!

I think you’re going to love these exercises - they will be a fantastic workout for that low register and will really give your fingers something to think about!

Sign Up: August 26-31

Challenge: September 1-28

I'll put you on the list, Howard!

(if anyone else has trouble signing up just add your name and e-mail here and I'll put you on as well - we've got quite a few people already signed up so I think it's going to be a good one!)

Just a little reminder that signups for this are going until Sunday and the Challenge starts on September 1!

This is going to be a great one to take part in, especially if it's going to be your first challenge, as I think we'll have a big group and it should be really cool to see how people progress and we can all support each other. I want to encourage a ton of our newer community members to join in! You can do it! 🥳
