Better Tone, Less Effort: Middle Register Edition

In this livestream with Head of Clarinet Heather Roche, we're going to be talking about improving the sound of our second (or 'clarino') register. This includes the notes from the B in the middle of the staff up to the high C two octaves above middle C.
I'm going to be talking to you about how this register can sometimes end up sounding a little bit strident or pinched, and I'll give you some ideas for how to fix this in your own playing.
We're also going to be going through some exercises for practicing good technique in this register, blending exercises from Langenus and Alvram Galper. These will help you improve the connection between your first (or 'chalumeau') register and the second!
Are there pieces you're working on right now that use the clarion register, which you're struggling with? Or do you have specific questions about this register? Feel free to post them below and I'll be sure to answer them (even if you can't make the live part of the livestream!).

Hi everyone! Looking forward to this livestream later - I'm attaching a PDF with almost all of the exercises (two of them you won't really need to see written down, I will explain how they work).
This Livestream is also going to be a bit of an introduction for our two week intensive in the second half of this month so if you want to work on your sound and technique in the clarinet's second/clarion register, this is your month! :)
I would love it if you posted a quick note to say hello if you're downloading the workbook, especially if you've not participated in any community events so far, it's just nice for me to get a sense of who is hanging out here!
