How to start a sound “from nothing”

One of the really unique features of the clarinet - something other wind instruments cannot do - is that it can start notes “from nothing” in all of its registers. This contributes to the clarinet’s ultimate power to blend with other instruments. However: it doesn’t mean that starting from nothing is easy to do! So in this workshop, Head of the Clarinet Community Heather Roche will show you some tricks for how to practice this beautiful way of playing.
