Unfinished Business Challenge - Intro and SIGN UP

Dear tonebase clarinetists!

We've all been there: a beautiful piece of music that you began learning with enthusiasm, but for some reason, it was left incomplete. Now is the moment: let's complete our 'unfinished business'!

The Challenge:

We invite you to revisit a piece that you've started working on but never finished. Perhaps it was a complex piece that seemed too intimidating, or maybe life just got in the way. No matter the reason, this is your opportunity to dig in and finish learning that piece!

How to participate:

Start by signing up below and then sharing in the forum which piece you'd like to explore during the challenge. Share the story of why you initially chose this piece and why it remained unfinished. You're also welcome to post a video of yourself performing as it is now as the "before" to our end of the month's "after". 

Bonus Points: Share a link to your favorite recording of the composition you're revisiting!

Reward:

While there isn't a physical prize, the reward is the sense of accomplishment from completing your "unfinished business." You'll have weekly feedback from me, showcase your perseverance, and form connections with other clarinet enthusiasts who've walked the same path.

Need inspiration?

If you're struggling to tackle the challenges that caused you to leave the piece unfinished, don't fret! You can find plenty of resources and tutorials on tonebase to help guide you to completion.

Every week I’ll be sharing tips on how to work on a piece that’s challenging you and encouraging you to post a video of your progress. And then at the end of the month we’ll be able to look back on how far we’ve come.

And if there are specific aspects of your technique that are keeping you from finishing learning the piece, let me know in the comments and I’ll make some recommendations!
