Feel a bit panicked when you see something new on the stand? You’re not alone—and the good news is, sight-reading is a skill you can improve with simple, focused practice.

This livestream is  part TWO in a new monthly series we're going to be running on tonebase clarinet, designed for players who want to build confidence reading new music more fluently. We’ll break down the essentials of smart sight-reading and every month we'll get together and practice sight-reading exercises.

If this is your first time joining in on these sight-reading livestreams, you may want to go back and watch the first session, but it really depends on your level as these sight-reading sessions are going to be progressive! So you can always join in and have a go: if this session feels too difficult, go back and watch part one. If it feels too easy, come back next month for the next one!

The British have a well-earned reputation for being the best sightreaders in the world, so join me, Heather Roche, as I've been studying and working in Britain for the last 20 years, learning their secrets!

Have your clarinet at the ready so that you can practice along with me! This workshop is aimed at players in tonebase levels 4+.
